Leslie Friedberg, BS, MSN, CRNA, ARNP

Chief Financial Officer & Medical Liaison

Born and raised in Florida , Leslie obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Science and Nursing from Nova Southeastern University in 2008 and started working as a Registered Nurse at Memorial Regional Hospital in the Trauma/Neuro/Surgical Intensive Care Unit. In 2013, she graduated from Florida International University ’s Nurse Anesthetist program with her Master’s degree in Science and Nursing. She now works as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Memorial Regional Hospital.

Both sides of Leslie’s family have a positive history of breast cancer. Her paternal grandmother had breast cancer twice, and her maternal great grandmother lost her life to breast cancer. She has also had her own scares with breast cancer twice in her young age. When she was 15 years old she found a lump in her left breast that thankfully turned out to be a fibroadenoma, and then again at the age of 27 she found another lump in the same breast. The biopsy this time came out with a differential of phyllodes tumor vs. fibroadenoma. Fortunately, her genetic tests came back negative, but the scars on her left breast from both surgeries serve as a constant reminder of this deadly yet preventable disease.

From 2008-2011 in the ICU at Memorial Regional Hospital, Leslie experienced great pleasure in taking care of Tram Flap patients as breast cancer patients and survivors hold a special place in her heart. She made sure to pamper them with sweet smelling soaps and lotions, believing that it is important to still feel like a woman after such an experience. As a CRNA now, she still gets the opportunity to have hands on patient care with these amazing women. ” I want to personally thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey.”
